Cambium Networks – Cloud Support Extended

Last updated: 30 September 2026
Following our previous update regarding Cambium Networks’ administration, we are pleased to share a positive development.
What’s Changed
Cambium has confirmed that support for cnMaestro Cloud and its enterprise portfolio will continue through at least October 2026. The company is seeking a long-term owner for the platform and is also exploring options to help customers transition from cloud-managed environments to on-premises deployments.
This means the previously referenced 1 October deadline is no longer a concern, and there is currently no immediate risk to cloud-managed Cambium networks.
Cambium has also announced the sale of certain non-Wi-Fi product lines to Airspan Communications. This does not directly affect the enterprise Wi-Fi access points used by most of our customers.
For customers using Network Service Edge (NSE), Cambium has confirmed that an on-premises version is in development and is expected to be released shortly. We will provide further guidance once this becomes available.
Our Recommendation
While this update provides welcome reassurance, uncertainty remains around the platform’s long-term ownership and direction.
For customers with significant Cambium deployments, we continue to believe that migrating to an on-premises controller remains the best way to protect your investment, maintain control of your network, and reduce reliance on future changes outside your control.
What Happens Next
We are continuing our technical assessment and migration planning at a measured pace given the extended timeline. Customers with Cambium equipment under our management will be contacted directly with site-specific recommendations and costs.
If you would like to discuss your options sooner, please contact support@orbex.co.uk.
We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
