Fixed IP SIMs
Fixed IP UK 4G data-only SIMs
Our Fixed IP SIMs are available on the Vodafone network on either 30 day or 12 month contract terms and on the EE network on 12 month terms.

Vodafone Fixed IP SIMs can only be barred and unbarred in working hours and so can take up to 48 hours. EE Fixed IP SIMs can be barred instantly.

Fixed IP UK 4G data-only Failover SIMs
Our Fixed IP Failover SIMs are available on either Vodafone or EE networks on 12-month contracts. They are designed to be used as a backup for when primary services fail. Users pay a small monthly fee for the service and only pay for additional usage in the months in which they use it. The bolt-on selected is automatically triggered when the initial data allowance is exceeded.
SIMs will bar when total monthly allowance is reached, however SIMs can be unbarred and a higher bolt-on added. Please note that there can be a delay of up to 24hours on SIM bars so please choose your initial bolt-on carefully.

Pooled Data
Orbex offers self-service pooled data options on Mobile Manager. Partners select the type of data pool they require. Fixed Pools, where a fixed amount of data is chosen in advance, an Aggregated Pool, which changes every time a SIM is added or removed or a Buffer Pool which operates at an account level and can reduce data overage charges significantly.
Fixed Pools are available in a range of sizes from 25GB to 10TB. Fixed Pools are available for Three, EE, EE Fixed IP, Multi-network and Vodafone Fixed IP SIMs. You need a separate pool for each carrier network. Allowance SIMs and Sharer SIMs (no allowance) can be used in Fixed Pools.
Aggregated Pools are available for Three, EE, EE Fixed IP, Multi-network and Vodafone Fixed IP SIMs. You need a separate pool for each carrier network. If you had ten 20GB Vodafone SIMs in your pool, your Aggregate Data Pool would be 200GB. You cannot use bolt-ons in Aggregated Pools.
Our Pool Buffers are available for Three, EE, EE Fixed IP, Multi-network and Vodafone Fixed IP SIMs. You need a separate pool for each carrier network. Buffer Pools operate at an account level and can reduce data overage charges significantly.
Data Buckets are available for Three, EE M2M, EE Fixed IP, Vodafone Fixed IP and Multi-network SIMs. You need a separate bucket for each product type. You can now order a Data Bucket in 1TB increments and assign Sharer SIMs to it. Per-SIM bolt-ons are not compatible.
Private APN
APN (Access Point Name) is the name given to the gateway within a Mobile Network Operator (MNO) that provides the ability for a device containing a SIM card to access an IP network such as the internet. The vast majority of SIMs available on the market will access the internet via the MNO’s public APN.
For some customers and solutions, a Public APN isn’t appropriate because it would break the solution, add additional complexity or add additional cost. Our Private APN was developed to help this type of customer. It is compatible with our EE M2M UK and EE M2M UK/EU/US SIMs.

- The SIMs that you use with a private APN are charged at the normal rate
- There are no set up charges for the Private APN service, just a low monthly charge
- Our private APNs are typically ready for service within 2 working days (for standard solutions)
- SIMs on private APNs are typically ready for service within minutes of the order being place on Mobile Manager
- Multiple private APN configurations are available to meet different customer requirements
- The service can provide internet breakout from the cloud or route all traffic to the customer to apply internet access policies
