As a result of the extensive Government restrictions across the UK, due to the COVID-19 situation Openreach previously made a national MBORC declaration. We’ve been able to remove the national MBORC for the majority of product and services across the UK. (MBORC removal notification of 30 June 2020 refers)
However, Openreach’s day-to-day operational activities still remain seriously impacted by the COVID-19 situation across the UK. In a number of areas, we have also seen significant impacts from the recent severe weather which has compounded the situation. Due to the complexities in recent months, recovery in these areas has been particularly challenged.
Openreach is therefore declaring MBORC for provision, repair and the availability of appointments, for the following SD SAM areas, with effect from 23:59 01 July 2020.
